MAIAN_UPLOADER v1.0 Created: 16th January 2003 Author: David Ian Bennett Maian_Uploader is a simple, yet fully customizable script that enables people to upload file to your server. Please note your server MUST support php for this script to work. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ APOLOGIES TO ANYONE WHO DOWNLOADED THIS SCRIPT AND FOUND THAT IT DIDN`T WORK PROPERLY. THE BUGS HAVE BEEN FIXED. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FEATURES 1. Fully Customizable features. You can select page background colours, background images, font types and colors, text box colors etc all from an easy configuration file. 2. Specify the max file size allowed for uploads in KB. If a file is submitted that is too big, an error message is displayed. 3. Choose whether you want to receive e-mail notification when someone submits a file. The sender also receives a confirmation of their upload. Feature can be switched on or off. 4. Customize the messages that get sent out in e-mails and that appear on the thank you page. 5. A simple bit of javascript displays an error if no file is selected for upload. INSTALLATION 1. Firstly check to see if your server supports PHP. If you are unsure contact them. 2. Open the configuration file in a text editor such as notepad or wordpad and edit the preferences to suit your own site. 3. Upload the configure.php, thanks.php, maian_uploader.php & form.php files into the same directory on your server. 4. In the same directory create a sub directory called "Files" (no quotation marks) 5. CHMOD the "Files" directory to 777 to make it writable. This is where the files get uploaded too. 6. To access the script enter the path to the form.php file. e.g http://yoursite.com/uploads/form.php 7. Thats it, you`re done!! There is no need to link back to my website if you use this script, however if you do use it, it will be nice to hear from you.
